We offer a unique experience at Bearfoot Gold, as such our rates and polices may seem unusual.

The reasoning behind both is that we offer the opportunity for you and your party the ability to have total and private access to the property if you desire.

Another reason is that the property is virtually virgin ground. Aside from the area of the lode mine, the property and river have been untouched aside from us and our guests.

For these reasons, we’ve designed these rates and policies to give parties the ability of exclusive privilages while at the same time ensuring the privacy of our guests. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about either.

Rates:

Due to the exclusive nature of our property, visits to Bearfoot Gold are mainly by reservation only to the first individuals to leave deposits. This is so that we may keep the total number of prospectors on the property to around ten total. On occasion we will welcome "last minute" prospectors if the maximum capacity hasn't been exceeded. We also welcome individual groups over 10 members with advance notification.

Our calendar reflects dates that Bearfoot Gold is closed and event dates.

Our rates are daily per person:

Prospector: $40

Non-Prospector over 16 years old: $15

Children under 16 years of age are welcome free of charge.

Reservations of $20 per day (one half of the daily rate) for each prospector are due one week in advance. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. The remaining full balance of $20 per day for each prospector is due upon arrival.

Though our deposits are non-refundable, in the event that our guests have a change of plans we will apply the deposit to another date of our guests choice if prospecting hasn't started.

We also allow our guest to reserve the entire property for private parties. Please contact us for details.

General policies:

While we do not charge for camping we do allow guests to camp onsite if they desire. Please be aware there are absolutely no creature comforts on the property. It is heavily wooded, lacks running water, electricity, and the amenities associated with a typical campground. Limited area suitable for pop-up campers is available at rivers edge. A number of hotels and inns are located within a 12 mile radius of the property for those that do not wish to camp and can be found under our "Lodging" section of our Links page.

To remain exclusive and maintain the privacy of our guests, we will not give directions to individuals other than those that have purchased reservations.

In the event that we do not receive the deposit a week in advance, the dates requested will be forfeit. We will also forfeit the dates if a deposit was made and the party does not show on the requested dates unless notified in advance there will be a delay.

The maximum size of dredge we allow is 5", but there is no limit on the number that can be brought along. Our river is low velocity which produces some beautiful chunky pieces of gold, please take the velocity into account when you plan on the number of dredges to bring along.

There are no limits on other types of gold prospecting equipment as long as they are legal, unregulated (i.e. chemicals or mercury) methods of prospecting.

Currently we will not loan nor rent equipment belonging to Bearfoot Gold, please bring all the equipment you will require to prospect.

We also do not supply camping gear.

We welcome pets but do require that they remain on a leash.

We will require that each member of the party read and sign a rules form before entering the property. Those that do not wish to sign the form will not be allowed onto the property under any circumstances. The rules will cover safety issues, property boundaries, and activities not allowed on the property. Violation of the rules will result in removal from the property. We wish to make your visit as safe and pleasurable as possible.
